Cloud Hunter is back, baby! New beginnings…

Cloud Hunter is back, baby! New beginnings…

Hello! Megan, here. I am writing to you with the exciting news that we are relaunching with a new collection! We hope you are inspired by rolling yellow fields, farmers markets, and those moments you get to step away from your desk and enjoy a glass of wine on the porch.

For Cloud Hunter, this launch feels like a reset and we wanted to use the opportunity to catch everyone up on where we’ve been and where we plan on going. These past few years since Covid started, it’s been a rollercoaster for us all! As some of you know, we opened a storefront on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles that we had to close down pretty quickly due to the pandemic. Then, we were met with more devastating news when we learned that Alicia, our head seamstress who has been a part of the brand and made all of our clothes from the start, passed away with Covid. After scrambling on how to keep up with this changing world and in desperate need of a job, I got the opportunity to move up to Paso Robles and take over managing a winery, and I packed up my life and moved. The views are spectacular, the work has been exciting but demanding, and the wine has been delicious. But in the back of my head I kept wondering, “what is going to happen with Cloud Hunter?”

Getting to step away from Cloud Hunter gave us time to experiment a bit. I started to feel creative and inspired again! We made some changes and some of you may have noticed we rebranded to Maiden for a few months. While I loved the Maiden branding, I was surprised by the number of people who were still searching out Cloud Hunter that had been customers for years and were familiar with the Cloud Hunter name.

In that vein of thought, we put our heads down again and dreamed of what Cloud Hunter could look like in the future. Trying things in public and making promises can be scary, but honestly, it’s worth it because I love creating and getting to share them with this wonderful community. I believe the values of being a truly sustainable small business means being willing to change and trying things that may not work.

Cloud Hunter may look a little different in the future, but that is what ethical and sustainable fashion means to us - fitting in with the cycles of life, evolving over time, and doing our best.

Thank you so much to each and every one of you that have supported, shopped, shared, and loved Cloud Hunter. We are so grateful to make clothes that you have fun and feel amazing wearing. We hope you love the new collection and our plans for the future!
